Snow Conditions

what are the snow conditions in Tampere area like. are they any good for ski and snowboarding.

Tampere is not close to the main ski areas of Finland. The only real skiing resort close to Tampere is Himos www.himos.fi, a bit over an hour from Tampere.

Thanks. is it possible to transfer from Tampere to Himos easily and are there any budget accomodation options to suit families there.

There are good bus connections from Tampere to Himos. See www.himos.fi for accommodations!
