9hours in tampere

Hi all,

I am flying into tampere on dec7 with my husband , mother and my three small kids 6,4 and 1. we arrive around 1 and depart around 10 on night train to rovaniemi. If anyone could offer any suggestions on how to spend the day I would really appreciate it. Also we arrive back in tampere at 6am and fly out at lunchtime on the monday. Is anywhere open at 6?

The main atraction in tampere , Näsinneula, is open. It is located in the amusement park, Särkänniemi. The tickets cost you 5 eur and children under 4 go free.

You can see the whole city from there, eat something and chill out.

The delfinarium right next to it is showing a christmas show. They will show it at 18.00pm. Its 10 eur and children under 4 go free. You can buy the tickets for the dolphinshow from Näsinneula.

If you wish to go shopping, maybe Koskikeskus is the best option for these cold weathers. Its an shoppingmall. There is a lot of restaurants, cloth and toy shops in there.

(I hope you understood my english : ))

at 6 am shops are not open...They usually opens 9 or 10. Big shops are open till 8 or 9 pm. Smaller closes 6pm.

Tampere is not that big town. You can easily spend 9 hours by walking in center. Do some shopping, go to nice restorant. I myself like mexiacan restorant Paco Villa or was it Poco Villa. There is Viking restorant but it is bit expensive. My friend said it is nice place and I should go there. I dont live in Tampere. But on this saturday I am going there to see my friends from Italy. I get back to give %26quot;report%26quot; where you can go to eat and what to do...

About those restorants...Why not try Tillikka and eat pyttipannu. They have english menu there so choosing food was easy.

Poncho villa was that mexcian style restorant.
