Hi me again! would appreciate advice off anyone who has been to levi (bluny especially!)
My OH is coming as long as its in a hotel,so thats decided, hotel it is.
We want half board with nice food, room must be in main hotel(no walking back and to) reasonably priced bar (I know drinks are expensive but the cheaper the better).
Hotel sirkantahti is looking favourite, but would it suit us? help please dont want to get this wrong, i would never hear the end of it!

We did not eat at the hotel this year but took our half board option there last year and did on our first visit to levi.
Based on last year I really like the hotel as its small,pretty and quiet.The food for us was generally good and what we liked about it was the fact that they done a good varied childrens buffet.The hotel unless its now changed has only a very small bar area and was a bit pricey for drinks.
The other hotel which I think is great is the k5 hotel.Its a larger hotel and the food is fab but lacked for us a good variety for children meals.The k5 hotel has a good bar area but is still a quiet hotel.Some of the rooms at the sikanthati hotel are outside so i think you would need to request one that is inside the buliding.

Thanks bluny, I did look at k5,but its coming in at £2000 for 4 adults in january 09.The sirkantahti is £1400 (the iso syote is £1150 but I think thats to isolated for us)
Is the sirkantahti in a good location? I read in someones review that there is a reasonably priced bar next door (called paloma? palomo?) that should keep OH happy!
Is it handy for the slopes?
Meant to ask bluny, what type of dog do you have?

I have never seen a bar next door to it but thats not to say there isnt.4th time there this year and still found things we had missed on prev trips.
For the price difference I would stick to the sirka hotel.The hotel is only about a five minute walk from shops, resturants,bars and the center of levi.Good location for slopes again about a 5-10 minute walk if that.Our dog is a 2 year old golden retriever and he is nuts!!But he is lovely.Better now he has none if you know what i mean!!!

You definatly need a sense of humour with a dog!We have a little dobie pup OMG I used to have a sense of humour!! she is hard work just hope it will get easier as she gets older lol!!

Yes it does get easier with age and a bit of help.Dont laugh but we ended up having to get a dog behaviour therapist out for ours as he was so naughty.He is lovely now and a perfect pet.

Debbie....I will be staying in the Levistar appts next week and we eat at the sirk. so I shall look out for that bar and tell you what I think on my return....

Bluny our puppy is so naughty you wouldnt believe, I might be needing the number of that therapist myself so I wouldnt dare laugh!!

Pint of lager deb is about 4-5 euros.The finnish lager is lovely.

No worries debbie.....For you dog lovers I have a Japanese Shiba Inu !! bet you may have to look that one up! She%26#39;s gorgeous and she is the only thing I miss when I go on holiday!! x
