remember to take some essential oils to pop on the sauna coals, we are taken frankensence, very seasonal don%26#39;t you thinks? but it is also a fantastic chill out and relax oil which smells fab, it is expensive though, Boots do a blended oil that is for soothing and relaxing which has frankensence in it at a third of the cost
if you have not experienced saunas or used essential oils in one I can recommend that you try, just be careful which oils you use though as some can eb very strong and may sting your eyes, only use a drop or two as well

What a top tip, I%26#39;ll be taking it on board, thanks! I like to put a few drops of peppermint or eucalyptus oil into my bath water when I%26#39;ve got a cold and I%26#39;ve also heard that peppermint oil in a cool bath is soothing for chickenpox but I have no parental experience to confirm this!
Merry christmas and have a fab time!

Great idea - something else to fit in the case ... You sound so organized Poe, I%26#39;m beginning to panic now. Husband has gone off to shops to change a mobile phone present that doesn%26#39;t work so looks like its all down to me.
Maybe you should set up a stall selling oils - should be popular! Sounds much better than the birch twigs. The kids are dreading Dad going to roll in the snow naked - not a pretty sight.

Hi Sarah
Rolling in the snow naked from sauna is really good idea and quite ordinary fun here when the snow is new and soft. Don’t fail it in any cases.
Maybe front side of Levi hotel isn’t right place but some more intimate place and you get really refreshing experience. My greetings for kids ;-)

Poe, thats a great tip. Can you recommend any other oils that work well and don%26#39;t sting at all?
Thanks

frankensence will not stink but the blended onw with orange blossom might, I think you may be best going for something like lavender, lovely smell and helps you sleep
try to steer clear of the citrus oils and stong cleansing ones like tea tree if you have sensive skin or react to things
frankensence is about £12, it really is lovely and very underrated
I am now bringing my blended bottle of oil rather than the pure oil so if anyone wants some, just let me know, we are in Yllas this sunday

Poe .... snowman kits and oils??
You sure you%26#39;re not looking to make a quick buck !!!!
Only kidding hun. Nice idea.
I like the Lime Oil as it%26#39;s really uplifting. Makes the sauna/steamrooms smell delicious. Not smelt frankincense, so may come and find you on Sunday or Monday :)
|||
Poe, I didn%26#39;t get chance to get any Frankincense so if you have some spare I will gladly buy it off you. I%26#39;ve become allergic to mint and tea tree so good to find an alternative.
Thanks for the information Pera - I%26#39;ll try to keep his rolling in the snow somewhere private!

LOL Poe - I said oils that don%26#39;t sting not don%26#39;t stink! Off to look for non stinky/stingy oils today. Thanks for all the help as usual. So excited now for me only a week to go. Have a great time next week. Leave some ice swans and identikit Poemen for us to find. We%26#39;ll be seraching lapland for signs of Poe. Children think you are the red telly tubby by the way!!!
|||
I only have my one little bottle of blended packed but everyone is welcome to borrow it, you may also be able to get some at boots when you are at the airport
bluebell - I love lime but it is lethal to some people, it is so strong, and yes, I think I should go into business with all my must haves to go to lapland, you should see what I take on summer hols ;-)

laplandbound - I just read my post, I did mean sting ;-) I have to admit that I am dyslesic, I think I am writing the right thing but never manage to and even when I re-read it I don%26#39;t see my mistakes, but my writing/spelling is not half as bad as me with numbers, don%26#39;t ever trust me to give out a number ocrrectly - I do see it as funny most of the times, pointless it getting me down, can%26#39;t do anything about it
