Holiday in Levi Finland with Cosmos

Just returned from New Year Lapland adventure holiday with Cosmos. Fantastic holiday and lots to do in the area. Plenty of local firms offered great snow mobiling trips, ice fishing, reindeer and husky rides, snow shoe walks etc. Tip don%26#39;t book optional excursions with the UK tour operators, they are over priced. Go to the Levi tourist office who will book for you at vastly reduced costs. All the staff speak excellent English and are very helpful. I went with 2 teenage boys who didn%26#39;t want to ski, but the skiing was good for both beginners and those more fluent on the piste. Lapland has so much to offer, we were totally occupied with snowmobiling safaris and other fun activities.

Stayed at Levi Star appartments, perfectly adequate, clean and cosy and easily accomodate 3/4. TV only has a few English programmes but the nearby Sarakathi hotel has large screen which had BBC news and live football games. Only down side food in the hotel not great but there were plenty of restaraunts in town which served everything from pizzas to proper meals.

Finland not cheap (drinks aside) but overall we found costs on par with UK.

Comsos were very good, reps always on hand and they looked after customers well. I will certainly go again but next time will investigate booking flights myself and if you e-mail the Levi tourist office they will find you accomodation.

I think we were there with you!! I agree with all you said! We have now caught the skiing bug so combined with the Lapland bug we already had we will return!

We went onb a last minute deal and had already looked at doing things seperately,price wise there was not a lot of difference.
