Hello, I know there hasnt been much fresh snow in Levi but there still appears to be a lot on the web cam although some people have said its quite icy (its hard to tell from the pics), is skiing going to be ok or is it going to be too slippy for beginners, I am worried we wont get to ski or falling over will be really painful on ice / hard snow (I expect to spend a lot of time on the floor!). I know they have snow cannons but are these being used and if so, have they made a real difference to the snow on the slopes? Thanks! p.s we go on Sunday. Happy New Year!

We went last week %26amp; it was fine to ski on.
There were one or two icy patches at the top of the slopes but nothing to worry about too much. Beginners seem to be taken to slope 8 which is nice %26amp; gentle at the bottom anyway.
They do have snow cannons but I didn%26#39;t see them use them at all, although it did snow a couple of times to help freshen things up a bit.
Anyway Levi is a fabulous place %26amp; I sure you%26#39;ll have a brillant time.

We came back on Sunday and the snow is fine for ski-ing, im sure there will be more snow this week which will make it even better - it was more the streets and roads that were very icey.
Have a great time.

Hi - we were also there last week with an 8 year old and 4 year old who had never skied before and we all got on ok. Check out South Slope for beginning skiing - and see how many lifts are open before buying a lift pass as a lot of the lfts were closed last week but they did seem to be opening more when we left.

Hi
is this normall for levi or is it due to bad weather conditions there.

Thanks for all your help. We paid £150-£180 i think for 1.5hrs lessons for 5 days and lift pass and ski hire for 7 days (with inghams) so i do hope some of the good slopes are open - just incase i suprise myself and am actually good at it!

This is usual - apparently the slopes dont fully open until the end of Jan - they dont tell you that in the brochure.

Hi, we were there last week, got back on Sunday. The slopes were mainly ok but we found the red at zero point quite icy!
Slope 8 is the best for beginners but hard on the legs as it%26#39;s a drag lift! good luck!!
