Are Fist Choice ok to travel with to Lapland? Have 1 friend who has been with them and says no %26quot;use Inghams%26quot; and 1 friend who said First Choice were good. Will be a once in a lifetime trip for us i need it to be right!
Thanx so much

All companys have good and bad rewiews.
I would take alook at all companys that travel to Lapland like Iglu, crystal, inghams, firstchoice, neilson and there are many more.
Have a good look at resorts and accomodation and then decide and price the holidays up as there are big price differences between all companys.
If you are planning to arrange your own activities then going with any tour operator would be ok.
If its a santa trip that you are after that has everything arranged for you then take a look at santatrips or santa days as they have lots of different companys on there.
Personally We like to stay for the week in a log cabin and arrange our own activities.
We normally use Inghams and have never had any problems and travel to the resort of Levi, although for next year we are using crystal ski and staying in Yllas as crystal for us for the same accomodation in Yllas there was a huge price difference.

Thanx for that, shall look at Crystal right now x

I think it all depends what you want.
For the complete Christmas experience I would go for 1st Choice. They have elf guides (sounds naf but the kids loved it), lots of trips included etc.
For a more laid back holiday go for Inghams (have not been with Crystal). You can still do the Santa stuff and maybe include some skiing??
I think it all depends on your kids ages. Our first year they were5 %26amp; 4 and they loved the 1st choice trip. This year they were 6 %26amp; 5 and they loved the skiing (and the Santa trip).
Good luck

I recently got back from a 3 day package with First Choice to Yllas staying at Snow princess Hotel. It was a fantastic trip from start to finish and was great value. The reps were excellent too.
I would certainly book with first choice again without a moments hesitation.
Read my reviews.

I travelled with First Choice at the beginning of December and had a fantastic time but I personally would not use them for a future trip to Lapland as I think they are very expensive.
I am planning to return next year but will go with a different company and plan my own activities.

We travelled with FC on the 12th Dec for 4 nights to Levi and it was super. The tasters are only tasters but it gives you a feel of what you would enjoy if you wanted to book additional trips. The last activity morning was really varied and our 2 yr old loved it, so much so she is encouraging her 4 yr old cousin to join her next year!
For us the 4 night package was just right and of course it included all the hired clothing - not sure if all other companies offered this. We only booked 2 weeks before going so had a really good price. We will definately go back next Dec and would be more than happy to go with FC again, the fun started started on the plane and by the time we returned my 2 yr old was singing rudolph the red nosed reindeer, jingle bells and we wish you a merry christmas.
Whatever you decide I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll enjoy.

Hi
if it is a once in a lifetime trip then DONT use first choice as they are not by all means value for money.
|||
Actually I think go with which ever tour op is cheapest, then book all your trips in resort with the local companies! All the companies have both good and bad reviews ..

Hi
I would agree with Kim, just get the ceapest deal you can, Inghams are about the cheapest I think, but organise your own activities.
We have used Inghams, and not had a problem, but, we only see their reps when they drop us off and when they pick us up to return.
I seem to remember that if you book the Yllas cabins with Inghams they give you xcountry ski gear free.
Once in a lifetime? I%26#39;ll put money on the fact you will WANT to go again, I was only going once, but, hey you%26#39;ll know what I mean, nobody goes once, hey Santa lives there, so it%26#39;s got to be good.
