does anyone know if and where you can hire thermal clothing in Rovaniemi or is somethjing that is organised thru the hotel

I would buy and take your own it is reasonably cheap..especially now the sales have started!

I am from New ZEaland and as its summer here now, we dont have these sales on and not much of that type of clothing available here at the best of times. Might have a look at ebay. Thanks or your advice though. We will find some clothes somewhere.

You will get a thermal clothing when you go for example snowmobile safari. You get helmets, thermal suit, shoes etc from the safari company. And you can also buy warm clothes from local shops.

Yes , no need to buy anything unless you want an extra layer of thermal underwear under your clothes . The company you use to go on these safaris will equip u sufficiently . It seems a waste to buy things you might not use again . It is recommended that you don%26#39;t wear jeans under the snow suits though so perhaps a pair of tracksuit bottoms would come in handy .
