Julli's restaurant in Yllas ..... Prices

Just to give you a rough idea of the price of food here.

Julli%26#39;s is a ver popular restaurant in Akaslompolo and very reasonably priced. You will need to wait for a table most evenings.

They do BIG portions so you won%26#39;t starve!!!

Pizzas start from 8.50 euros depending on choice.

Burgeres from 8.50 euros, these are served with fries and they are lovely, try the HD burger with antlers!!

Kids pizzas are 6 euros and again, perfect size for little mouths.

There is also a range of starters which range from 6 - 15 euros, and main courses of either chicken, salmon, reindeer etc prices from 18 - 30 euros.

Only a choice of 3 desserts though.

We had a meal of 3 burgers, 1 kids pizza, 4 pepsis, 2 ciders, coffee and 2 desserts and it was 56 euros in total, so pretty good.

Bluebell

How did you find the s/c this year as know that last year you had said that you had gone half board?How did the 2 compare in Yllas and which did you prefer?

|||

What time is jullis open untill? do most people tend to eat quite early?

|||

Bluebell did you eat at the akas hotel buffet, and do they have an al carte.

Also is there anywhere else to eat?

Thanks debbie

hi debbie,

we ate at the buffet and yes there is an ala carte starting at 19:00. the buffet was pretty good we though although i was a bit tired of it after 7 days.

we didnt eat out but did see a pub/restaurant opposite the sports shop before you reach jullis...not much else

Thanks lah, so far I have jullis, pipola, poro, evaskori (pizza place next to post office), grill restaurant at the post office? yllas humina is recomended on a review, and does a traditional lappish dinner for 27euros pp also has a karaoke bar.

Has anyone are at the last 3?

|||

Sorry I meant as anyone ate at the last 3!

|||

Brilliant post - trying to get OH to let me book for next year and do self catering.

He thinks it may be too expensive but this post is proving otherwise !

You may have just posted the perfect start to 2008 - thank you so much and Happy New Year to you all.

pipola and poro are very nice :o)

poro is in my opinion better, Julli%26#39;s is best for burgers/pizza%26#39;s etc, you could try the salmon and reindeer pizza!!!!

Bluny, we loved the s/c option, just not being tied down to meal times as we felt in our opinion that the hotel served meals quite early. Breakfast until 9.30am and dinner 5pm - 7pm at the Akas.

Did a reasonable shop when we arrived, spent 90 euros there and got treats, fruit and veg, meat, pasta, cider, soft drinks, breakfast goodies etc.

We were%26#39;nt waking til gone 9.00am so we would%26#39;ve missed brekkie anyway .... don%26#39;t like to be rushed around!

We did%26#39;nt bother eating at the Akas at all, oh except yesterday on our departure day as they were serving lunch so we helped ourselves as was everyone else (not sure if we were meant to pay)!!!!

Julli%26#39;s is open until around 10-10.30pm. Varies on the day you go. We used to be down there for about 7.30pm and we would wait approx 30 mins for table. Hubby happy as they show premiership footy on tv !!!

We were very boring because we did%26#39;nt eat anywhere else than Julli%26#39;s or at our cabin.

Yes totally agree Bluebell that this year in Levi for us was so much better S/C as we could get up and ready when we liked and eat when it suited and not feel so rushed to do things.

Oh and as for showing the footy my hubby will be happy then and a few visits to jullis he will want!
