just booked!

I%26#39;ve finally booked my holiday for next Christmas!

Going to Levi on 21st December for 1 week, staying in Immelmokit log cabin.

Sooooo excited only 51 weeks to go!

Thanks for everyones suggestions on here - would have ended up with 4 days firstchoice holiday if i hadn%26#39;t found this forum.

Next question - do I book excursions now with Inghams or online with someone else or do I wait till I get there. Want to do full works - snowmobiles, huskys, santa, reindeers etc....

any recommendations from all you experts?

Well done another lapland looney, we too are going to immelmokits again 21 dec - 4th jan (what size cabin have you booked)so see you there, we found we could book all our excursions when we got there the only one%26#39;s we pre booked where the search for santa and santa visiting us in our cabin which i would highly recommend as he was fab and the kids are still on about how magical it was.

i was in same position as you.

Couldn%26#39;t deside between levi or yllas

I think there is abit more to do in levi and i am taking my 18 year daughter.

the immelmokit cabins worked out £800 cheaper than the levi cabins. I think they are ok - if you dont mind walking!

i have booked the 5 room one - there is only 4 of us going so we should have plenty of room! Although I think i might have a couple of extra family members wanting to come as well!

definately pre-book the reindeer and huskies with inghams, they are by far the cheapest and if you pre-book you are ensured of having the trips

I would recommend you do everything else when you get there with local companies as they will be cheaper/offer more options etc

even the santa search?

just read on inghams web site that the santa trip during dec is to santaland. heard this isnt very good. fancy the one wear you go on the snowmobiles through the woods to santas house

You can book that one through aurora safaris it%26#39;s called search for santa and you can book it through levi tourist info or with the company direct,although we overslept and missed our one which we had allready paid for so had to book it again in resort but they still had places available.

Jackie - we are also at the Immlemokets from the 21st to the 4th Jan we are in the 6 rooms -

I have heard mixed reviews about the search for santa with aurora - some thought santa wasnt very good - some did.

We booked santa to our cabin for 125Euros and he brought comet and a sleigh and came in for 20 mins - it was amazing. Inghams use the same santa for their party which was good as i didnt get any questions querying the big man.

We did a snowmobile safari to the reindeer farm and a long reindeer ride approx 10mins for 260ish Euro for 4 of us and got buns and a hot drink. we booked that when we got there.

We did the mini - husky through Inghams but will do the Super Husky next year as our boy will be 4 by then.

Emmm-Really cannot decide between k5 cabins-yylas cabins-or salla cabins.

I am really hoping to book this holiday soon to get a good price-I do not want to spend to much money as I need to save for the year to pay for it-And for spending money.

Still I am hoping to book for Early December or January depending on costs and finances.

Where about can you find the inghams trips if your not boking witht them?

I am probably being dim is it n their web site?
