At least you enjoyed the snow - most times the kids have had a fantastic time and its us as parents that are upset with things. - Did the kids have fun.

I%26#39;m sorry to hear of your dissapointment.
A lot of these companies take a lot of your cash, but give little in return, what should be a really magical experience can sometimes be ruined, by Being rushed from pillar to post.
Give Lapland another chance, there are many ways to experience the real Lapland, just a bit of research will open up a whole load of options. such as the overnight sleeper train, remember Polar Express?
I don%26#39;t wish to intrude on your bad experience, but don%26#39;t give up on Lapland, it really is magical, given the right circumstances.

Hi everyone,
We were told that this tour was uncommercialised, but there were about 400 people there. Queues on EVERYTHING, the rides (reindeer/huskies. etc) meant the sledges went 1 lap in a circle (the size of a roundabout), we were told that we could only have 1 ride on the huskies because there were too many people, and there was no %26quot;searching%26quot; for Santa for the kids as there were neon signs everywhere with %26quot;Santa Claus%26quot; and an arrow in the direction.
The private family visit to Santa was even more of a joke, no one told us to book a time slot to see Santa, we fitted him in in our last hour there. When we got there, we had to wait for a sleigh. We were dumped by a fire along 4 other families and had to wait another 20 minutes to be seen. When it was our time, and we arrived at the cabin, another family was leaving and 2 elves said our daughter%26#39;s name and informed her that Santa was waiting for her!
This is COMMERCIALISM AT ITS WORST in my eyes, I%26#39;m going to write to Canterbury Travel. Not sure what they can do for us, but to say this was dispoointing was an understatement.

What a shame you had such a bad time.
I was going to book a day trip with Falcon/First Choice tomorrow morning for this Friday coming from Ireland. Now I am having second thoughts.
Eventhough the price has come down quite a bit, it%26#39;s still alot of money for me to spend on a day trip that, by your experience, certainly doesn%26#39;t sound like it is worth it.

I am also so sorry that your Lapland Day trip was bad, But really for the price you possibly have paid for that 1 day you could have had at least a weekend or mid weekoffer.
It is impossible to have the magical time in 1 day. notally in the north.
As said dont give up, You can visit the real Santa any time Ok it may be not Christmas, but that doesent mean that you cant have your magic.
There are many special offers on the net and even on this site that can help you.
A bit of advise to all trippers that are planning to go, take a few days to get the real Magic, and you will see its worth every penny you pay, and dont get ripped off by these kind of Offers,they sound great but in the end are dissapointing.
If this is to be the extreme magic moment, do it, but with fun and enjoy it with full glorie.Dont waste your hard erned money on such trips.
These trips make Lapland sound cheap and for many trippers a never again dissaster.
Never give up on Lapland .

It%26#39;s such a shame that these 1 days trips have not have good reviews so far, I know for some it is their only option to get to lapland and I know that they can be very expensive, in most cases the same price that some of us have paid for a week, however, for what ever reason you chose to go for 1 day you still expect to get what was advertised and what you expected.
I do think that you can get something from 1 day trips, it can be done as long as the tour company only do small groups.
I really do feel for you guys, please don%26#39;t let it put you off lapland, and if you can return there for a longer time if you can next time, that%26#39;s if you want there to be a next time
