Normal weather - Levi?

Just looked at the forecast for the next 5 days %26amp; temparatures are predicted to be at or above freezing. The long term forecast on Metcheck is not much better

Do any of you Levi veterans know if this is ok? We%26#39;ve been preparing for sub zero temps %26amp; will be gutted if there is not much snow when we go (Christmas week)

temperatures on accuweather look to be below freezing point-the roads may clear but there should be plenty of snow. Also usually when the temp warms the snoe falls!

Bluny is there at the moment and she said althought the roads have cleared there is still plenty of snow everywhere.

We were there last week and it was above freezing for a couple of days.

Although some of the snow started melting slightly, it was not significant. There was about 60 cm of snow (where not cleared) last week.

The roads look bare because the gritters (salt) go out when the roads turn slushy to prevent sheet ice when the temperatures go below freezing.

I am sure there will be plenty of good snow when you are there.

I see that it got up to 5 deg C today!! I hope it does not continue like this!!! bring on the cold and the snow!!!!

Only check the levi.fi as all the others are well out and wrong.We checked the levi.fi temp daily through our tv in the cabin and then checked with the large weather board in levi that shows the daily temp and it was correct each time.

There is still plenty of snow about but its very icey everywhere.It had not melted to much only about road areas.There was lots more snow about the cabins areas.However it really does need a fresh snow fall expecially for the husky and reindeer safaris.Lets hope it snows to soften everywhere for everyone this week and who are going next week.Im sure there is going to be some within the next week.

The weather during next days is about zero. There are about 50 cm snow.

In Rovaniemi there was only some (2-5) cm snow. So, we are lucky here in Fell Lapland.

Hope we get some more snow and get some -degrees.

just checked the BBC weather for kittila and it looks like it%26#39;s getting colder, so fingers crossed the BBC is right

Do you think that they might get the cannons out again if there is no more snow predicted??

The snow cannons are only on the ski slopes.
