We are off to levi in 7 days..have booked the inghams thermal ski suits....have been looking on the webcams %26amp; everyone else seems to have their own stuff...what do the hired suits look like????..where / when do we pick them up %26amp; will we be the only family wearing them?..worse still, will we look like complete muppets!!!!!
P.S we are staying in K5 chalet for 1 week. :)

you won%26#39;t look complete muppets lol, but we saw loads of people wearing these in levi, you can spot who has hired suits and gone with inghams as they all have the same suits on, they are black and blue all in one%26#39;s with perhesafarit safaris (the name of the company that supplies them for inghams)written across the back of them, must admit i was glad i got my own in the end but thats because i prefer the jackets and salopettes rather than the all in one%26#39;s

Forgot to say you pick them up from perhesafarit safaris which is next to the supermarket a couple of mins away from your chalets which are really lovely by the way.

Hmmmm..thought that might be the case..I might have to sneak my new pink ski jacket with matching gloves %26amp; sallopettes in my suitcase..hey, a girl can never have too many outfits! :)
I can just see us now...all 7 of us in our matching outfits..very Sound of Music. Lol
At least hubby..sat in his bed in hospital...can pick us out easily on the webcams...he will be watching us on his laptop.

Don%26#39;t blame you i would pack my own too. you will be easy to spot as there are so many of you all dressed the same and only you all in pink lol. Hope hubby is not too poorly shame about him missing the holiday though.

His heart has been playing him up..been on chemo for a while(different illness)..got better...booked holiday...last week the doc said he was unfit to fly due to a valve problem with his heart..It never rains but it pours (or should i say snows!)DOH!
Mad panic...thought about cancelling...but then a friend of ours said he would come along to lend a hand..5 children, airplanes, skiing,husky safari%26#39;s, ice fishing %26amp; food shopping in the snow..ON MY OWN..is not my idea of fun. :)
Can%26#39;t wait now though..7 days and counting.
We went to suomu last year (2 days), couldn%26#39;t stay longer as hubby had to get back for weekly chemo session. This year would have been the first whole week away in 10 years!
Still, there is always next year. :)

Goodness me, Snownosnow. What a story, but what a good friend you must have also. Love to your hubby. Life can be so cruel. My Hubby had to miss the kids nativity plays 3 years ago whilst suddenly being taken in for chemo - a complete shock, but he was more mad about missing them than the cancer. Cant imagine what he would have been like missing Lapland. Now a walking miracle, we are off there in February together, touch wood and all that. With love to you all, have a marvellous time, tell hubby its just a taster session for a wonderful family trip next year...

Yeah..he is a good friend...very sensible person (unlike me!) say%26#39;s my hubby. LOL
He is also my best friends husband...ha.ha..she too is a very good %26amp; TRUSTING friend!!!
Not so sure he will continue to be such a good friend when he has to spend the week with the Vonn Trap family in matching hired snowsuits. LOL

Your poor hubby, he must be upset at missing this one, still rather be safe than sorry and what a great friend to step into the breach like that, would defo not be idea of fun to take my five boys on holiday on my own either in fact i can think of nothing i would least like to do, Hope he is well soon and at least you can check it all out for him this year, wish him well from us.

Did you see the K5 chalets when you were out there?
How close are they to the K5 hotel?. we are having our meals there. Don%26#39;t fancy having to suit everyone up %26amp; then trudge to the hotel %26amp; then de-suit everyone, 2 times every day. ;) Will we be able to get there in just a ski jacket?

Yes we did see the k5 chalets they are really lovely and very close to the hotel depending how cold it gets you would get away without your bottom halfs but the hire suits are all in one anyway so if the top half is going on the bottom half will have to too lol, we went out in just jeans in temps of -9 and although cold not unbearable but we did need the layers on the top half and jackets. The k5 hotel is lovely too by the way but be careful the drinks in there can be expensive
