I would also be interested in your opinion of this hotel as I%26#39;m thinking of going back and trying out this hotel in 09

Hello, just returned from this hotel. The hotel and the setting is beautiful. The reps and santa elves are very helpful. The trips are abit pricey 117 each adults and 58 euros for the kids. Me and my daughter did the husky sleigh ride, family snow mobiling and the reindeer ride. All was fantastic, loads of snow there. I preferred this hotel to the others as it was in the wilderness just loads of snow and trees. Lots of free activities for the kids ranging from kids club to sledging, snow tubing, marshmellow toasting, kids learning to ski. If your going to the hotel you will love it. I would love to go back as we enjoyed ourselves very much. Just arrived back today, very tired as we had alot to pack into 5 days. If you need any more help please let me know.

Hi gald you had a brilliant holiday.
We are going there on 26th Dec for 7 nights, could you tell me is there plenty to do there for the kids when not booked onto activities. Also really important to me is there a kettle in the room or do i need to take one,I need a cup of tea to get me going in the morning!!

Hi there you dont get a kettle or anything in your room i took kettle,c ups, spoons are cappacino they came in very helpful as i too need a drink first thing in the morning. I took some snacks too as in the afternoon there wasnt much too eat.The rooms are basic but clean too be honest we were never in the room as we were too busy doing all the activities. The activities start at 9am and finish at 1 ready for lunch then in the afternoon that when you do a trip or you can just go sledging if you wanted too. Or just sit and have a drink and watch the kids enjoy thereselves. Evening entertainment consisted of xmas quiz, bingo, singing xmas carols and last of all the gala dinner. No time to get bored we were there 5 days and we were busy doing activities every day. Kids all loved it. Any other questions just let me know

My wife and I went to the Snowy Wilderness lodge for 3 nights on the 16th to 19th of Dec. We had a fantastic time, and felt like kids again. We even got to see Santa. The rooms are a little basic and cramped, but they are really just a base to stay and get changed. Beds basic, but comfy and very warm (although not a double - two single beds shoved up close together). The tv has about 7 channels, with just BBC World in English, but only watched this when getting ready in the morning. We too like a cup of tea first thing, but as the restaurant opens v early at 7, I just did the butler thing and brought some brews back to the room. Also the shower button wouldnt stay down, and we ended up putting one of my heavy boots into a bag to weigh it down. Water always hot though.
Best thing about trip - snow snow snow. Lots of fun tobogganing. Free taster trips great, but husky ride well overpriced for what amounted to a 6 minute ride in the snow. It was interesting though seeing the husky farm, and very noisy. The husky pups were very cute and friendly. This should have been half the price, or a much much longer trip. We didnt do the reindeer trip, but people who did said it was overpriced and too dark to take pics when they saw the baby reindeer.
The family snowmobile safari was great fun, and much better value, especially having sausages around the campfire. This is easily the best VFM of the three optional trips.
The Gala dinner was nice, as was the food in general. The atmosphere was great, especially the gala dinner which had a magical feel to it.
Overall there was loads to do. The whole experience was great, and the Santa clusive deal really really good. The elves were great fun, very knowledgeable, and we were even lucky enough to see the northern lights (they are worth looking for). If First choice do the same deal next year, we will definitely be going back, hopefully with my sister and brother in law and young Nephew.
Oh yeah and the flight out was good fun (Thompsons), and even though there was a 2 hour delay on the way back, the First choice staff were excellent and the Turkey Dinner on the plane delicious.
We met some wonderful people of all ages, and hopefully have made some life long friends.
Well done First Choice.
