Oh so many post now to have a read through.Loved the kelly 6 poem it made me chuckle this morning.After a few disapointments when when arriving we have a another fab holiday.Weather was great on arrival with lots of snow on trees and very deep in places think its the most we have had in the last five years of visiting levi.The weather changed on friday and has warmed up to around 2 degrees,but had made no difference to amount of snow other than it has become very icey and the trees are back to being green.We did not go into crystal accomodation because the accomodation is situated right in the centre of levi and has become very busy around that area with lots of building work going on and personally prefer to stay somewhere out of the way.There is also a new ski center which has been built right in front of the front piste and for us found that although the shop is great it has taken away the lovely views when walking upto the ski slopes.Levi we found has changed alot in the past 12 months some of which for the better and some for the worst.There apparently is going to be alot more being built in levi in the next 12 months with more hotels being built and a ice hotel which will attract more tourist.
There is also alot more lovely trips that can be booked through the main tourist offfice which are lovely to go on.
The 2 new ones that i would reccomend which we really enjoyed are the horse sleigh ride and the visit to the mini skidoos which are for children which my children loved.
We have had a lovely time and had the pleasure of meeting up with Dr bob from the forum and his family and spent some time with them all towards the end of our holiday which was great and my children loved it .I also managed to get to meet kelly at the airport which was really funny as we were trying to commicate through the glass windows at the airport and think everyone must of thought we were all nuts.

Yes honest there is plenty of snow still about.Hopefully there will be a fresh snowfall this week for everyone.

Yes it has gone really quick but have had a fab time.
There was some lovely things to do this year in levi that we had not done before as we had never found them which was great.
This year we found that levi although a great resort with plenty to do for children has changed alot even since last year and over the last 5 years and was alot bussier and more commercial than when we used to visit but is still lovely as a resort.
We will visit Levi again and will go back there maybe for feb half term08 if we can get a cheap last mintute deal.
As you know we have already booked for next new year to visit levi but after talking to alot of people on our return flight and hearing all the wonderfull comments on Yllas as to still how traditional Yllas is we will now be changing our booking and company and going with crystal.
So look out Yllas here we come!!!

Oh I should imagine you are getting excited about both.Im really looking forward to next year and trying somewhere new and different and also of course meeting up with you and your family.
It was great to meet up with someone from the forum that you have been speaking to.
We was going to visit lanio from levi as you can book this there and the taxi waits for you for 2 hours but after some thought we decided to wait and do that next year from Yllas as Yllas is nearer to lanio than levi is.
I will never say that gloves are better than mittens again!!In fact loved my mitts so much that i brought another pair at the Levi ski shop.
Cant wait for your views on yllas when you return back from this holiday.

I was reading in one of the free Lapland magazines when we were there a couple of weeks ago and it said Yllas is also due for some huge investment with new pistes being cleared and new accommodation. I really hope both Levi and Yllas don%26#39;t become spoilt.

Yes we were told the same that there is alot of money being invested in both resorts.Think Yllas though can afford for some extras to be invested in the resort.Whilst levi I wish they would leave it alone as there is already enough there.
Saying that the ice hotel they will be building in Levi will be great to see.
Did not think much to not being able to store all of your ski hire equipment now in the ski hire shop.Bit of a bind when you have a thirty minute walk and still have to carry 4 sets of boots etc back to the cabins with all your shopping and beer!
