ALL-
This is my first posting to this site. I spent a few hours reading some of the threads and feel right at home with this bunch.....Anyhoo!
My husband and I are off to Lapland this coming Saturday the 22nd. We were wondering if anyone could tell us if there is anything for us without children to do while there? We are both in our early 30s and aren%26#39;t anti children but can%26#39;t find anything on the web that isn%26#39;t children based.
Also, any packing tips? Did any of you think...I wish I had pack *^$#^?
Thanks and good evening,
Jen

Hi Jen
We are also going on 22nd, flying from Heathrow at 7.30am (with kids - although 3 are in their late teens). We went to the ice hotel last year in Sweden without the kids and had a fantastic time. Dog sledding was amazing - its best if you can drive your own sledge each, snowmobiling, seeing the Northern Lights, ice fishing, downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating .... You won%26#39;t be bored!
Where are you going to? The local tourist information website will have details of the companies which arrange all the activities.
As for packing - I haven%26#39;t started yet!

I think Lapland is probably mosre suitable for your age group believe me there is plenty to do-as Shell mentioned,it is the most romantic place ever! but my fave is the snow mobiles try it in the dark you can go off into the forest and it seems you could be anywhere Just Fab There is no way you cannot enjoy this holiday!!!
OOOh I%26#39;ve just realised you%26#39;re in my area-Norwich!!
As for packing, well a bottle of champagne will be in my case to welcome in 2008! Wine is very expensive out there!!! also the sachets of coffee and hot chocolate we took last year were great!
Enjoy Lapland which part are you going to and for how long???
Merry Christmas! x
