Does anyone know if you get good phone reception in lapland? I%26#39;m leaving my 3 year old twins at home (obviously not on their own!! lol) and would hate not to be able to keep in touch with them!!

We have never had any problems using a mobile phone in lapland.

Finns use of thier mobile phones/handys quite a lot, you often see people using theirs whilst out on the tracks, cross country skiing . In the resorts we have been to, reception has always been found. Surprisingly really due to the remoter locations of the resorts. We can%26#39;t get reception in certain parts of our village at home in Hampshire! But can get reception on the fells in Finland. There have also been payphones in all the resorts we have been to, as well. So you should be able to keep in-touch. The levitunuri hotel site says it has an internet cafe as well.

No need to worry, the reception will be very good! There are actually several good networks available.

I had very good reception in Levi last week. My phone charge lasted all week (usually a good sign of strong reception).

I%26#39;m with virgin network and had no problems whatsoever. Stayed in Yllas Resort.

Doesn%26#39;t Finland hold a mobile phone throwing event?? i am sure i seen it on the tele!!
