Cross country ski/Snow Shoes

If you are travelling with Inghams where are the cross country skis and snow shoes?

I know that it states in the brochure that it is free hire for all that stay at the Villa armas cabins and Yllas logs but are they in the cabins or do you have to collect them?Do you get both free to hire?

Sounds another daft question but have not a clue!

Meant free both snow shoes and cross country skis.

You have to collect them from the Destination Lapland safari house.

You can have X-Country Ski%26#39;s, Snow Shoes and Kick Sledge.

What is it all free with Inghams if you are staying in one of there cabins.Also does it include childrens or just adults do you know?

You have to leave a deposit, which you get back once you take everything back.

Yes they did snowshoes for children but I don%26#39;t think they did ski%26#39;s, they were really cheap to hire anyway from the sports shop.

Hi Bluny, when we stayed at the Villa Armas in the New Year, we had use of free cross country skis, you get voucher of Ingham rep and collect from destination lapland office which is on route to Santa House in Lapp village. You can have them for 6 days although we only had them for 3 and kids wished we had had them longer.We never left a deposit and in hindsight probably should have been asked for one although they did have the voucher with our name and cabin no. Remember to take a couple of sledges with you to collect / return them, you;ll be surprised how heavy / awkward they are to carry with the boots as you are a good 20 / 25 minute walk to the cabins.

If you wrap the sledge string around the skis you can with some skill fit part of the skis in the sledge and still be able to hold the rest via the handle.

When we returned ours the night before we left they didnt have a record in their files, even though we gave them the voucher with names and cabin No on it.

They thanked us for our honesty in bringing them back.

No Deb we are going with crystal ski in December to akaslompolo staying at the villa armas cabins,but at the moment I am still looking for a week in February and I am trying to work out costs and equipment hire with Ignhams and what we would get free with them.

I have had a couple of good prices from different companys for the week I want, but need to decide on who/where and which side of yllas we will stay at in Feb.
