Sport Resort Ylläs is introducing a new service centre for the coming season, a new Gondola lift that takes customers all the way to the summit, and new accommodation alternatives.
The new Ylläs1 Gondola Lift, opening at the Season’s Opening Ceremony, is Finland’s biggest ski lift investment. This new Gondola Lift covers a distance of just over 2 kilometres in only 7 minutes. In addition to the winter season, the Gondola Lift also serves visitors during the summer and vibrantly coloured autumnal ruska period, making it possible for people who don’t ski to experience the fell summit.

It was supposed to open for the opening ceremony today, yes you are right it doesnt look ready yet... the cable car units are gathering snow in the car park.
Keep posting the news as there is aprty of us going in February...

I have emailed a local excursion company based in Saaga hotel Yllas. They have advised it will open on 8th of Feb.
