Hello
i am travelling to kittila airport from manchester on 20th January.
Can anyone tell me about transport from the airport to Äkäslompolo on the airport bus?
do we have to book before we go or will there be busses there?
we are not going through travel agents so have to arrange our own way there and have been told taxis have to be pre-booked
thanks for any advice!

Never used transfers as I have found them to expensive compared to hiring a car for a week.
There are buses for the scheduled flights Finnair etc. that take you to the Akas hotel.
You could try yllasexpress.fi they do the transfers for Inghams,

thankyou i will try those!
I was told that there is a bus service at Kittila airport for 12.90 euros which we could use but dont know if they are limited buses which just meet certain aircraft!

I agree with tb. Just got back yesterday and you can save a fortune and see a lot more if you hire a car. The driving was easy, the cars have studs in the wheels and the roads are really well kept and not a lot of traffic. Hard to get lost as there are not that mant roads. Good for shopping and getting to ski slopes out of town excursions.

Anyone know what price for a weeks car hire?
Thanks

Starts at £180 for a Polo sized car, then onwards and upwards.
