my son was in dare2be all in one and it was fab, it was just the gloves he had problems with, I am sure he would have had cold hands not matter what make of gloves, I believe that mittens are best for the children, get them larger than required so they have room to move their fingers about adn they come up the wrist a but more, my 7 year old was wearing my 10 year olds mittens and they were great

buy some icebreaker thermals. Not easy to get hold of them in a childrens size, but they are available. E.B only stock adult sizes, try a smaller independant store thats where I got my kids from. Not cheap, but well worth it for happy kids.

Be careful about Icebreaker thermals - we find them too itchy to wear next to our skin as they are wool, so children especially may find them too uncomfortable. My son wore an M%26amp;S thermal vest under Helly Hansen thermals, and 2 thin fleeces under his North Face down coat and he was never cold, apart from his hands occasionally - his mitts are North Face. Get the warmest mittens you can find, with some silk inners.
When we were doing long activities we used the company%26#39;s all-in-one suits as extra protection.
