does anyone know if the swimming pool and other hotel facilities here are free to everyone staying there,including those staying in the self catering apartments or is there a charge for using them.

yes we are looking at them but still a little undecided. we went to levi recently and our children loved it so want to be sure they are catered for as our youngest will still be only 3 and not old enough to ski so our time will be spent on excursions and just having fun in the snow.

Yllasjarvi has a kids area, excursions etc.
Hopefully by next year there should be a lot more there.
Its still a small resort but with the Gondola completing soon its sure to grow.

thanks for the info, is the kids area at yllasjarvi anything like kids land at levi? with the kids equipment or is it just an area they can sledge on?
also is there a supermarket in yllasjarvi?

No it wasn%26#39;t like Kids Land ,last year but there has been alot of devolopment since, they are building a more blocks of Saaga Apartments with shops underneath which should include a supermarket, they should be ready for next winter.
These will be attached to the new golndola.

the only other concern is the area going to look like a construction site, which sort of spoils the whole sceneary and beauty of the place.

Just checked in Inghams brochure, states swimming pool /spa as facilities...so should be free.

Work is due to be complete 28th November 2008 and they are normally on time.
