old fashoined traditional sledges

can you hire the wooden ones do you now the sort i mean?

wooden with seat are of floor and two ski wooden runners ...

i found one that folds for easy transportion and was thinking this wood (pardon the pun) be good or would it not ?

I did see them this year for sale in one of the shops in Levi,never seen them before there though.

bluny i just goggled wooden sledges and came up with this

its collapsable and looks lovely and keeps little bums of the floor....but still just thinking about it might do what imago sugested with a kick sledge and just tie the little tike with a scarf into the seat lol

They look great.

But really like the idea of the kick sledges as we used them once on one of our safaris to get out on the lake to do ice fishing and they were great and lots of fun.

Would love to hire them out in Yllas when we are there to get around with.

I would defo use the scarf trick mr 2 year old kept bailing out of his, i would be pulling it along thinking this is light all of a sudden and sam would be making a run for it in the opposite direction, in the end he had to go back in his buggy.

lol kelly thats my worry he will be 2.5 when we go and he is a houdini at the best of times so i think a scarf and hire a kick one for the week and woe betide anyone who tries to borrow it!!...
